I better get some paint on the pass side , it's too late for the drivers side where a hole has appeared. Behind the hole is another sheet of metal - maybe for the flooring or firewall.
Should I use emery cloth on this rust or is it time to step up to a drill attachment?
Last month I tried to see how some used plastic wheel well liners fit - and they didn't want to fit in nicely. Does something need to be trimmed? I think I recall a comment about cutting the flat plates which take rain water from the windshild cowel.

Same rust on other side - no hole yet.

But yea - I haven't decided for sure. Maybe back to my body shop for a metal patch. I think Blewton was asking last month about some POR-15 metal repair product.

The right way...sandblast it.
The home mechanic way: wire brush on a drill, followed by POR-15 or Eastwood Rust Encapsulator, followed by 'tiger hair', followed by undercoating.
