I am working on an 86 CGT, the fuel line has started to leak roughly under the passengers behind. I'm wondering what I should replace it with, steel tubing or Braided steel hose? Where to find the material, and how hard should I expect this to be?

get a metal line cutter, two pair of 4mm line fittings, a flanger. replace it with solid line.
just ask the guy at pepboys what tools you'll need, and he'll help youout.

you don't want splits. do it right the fisrt time.
Go with steel, preferably epxxy coated or stainless if you can find it.
The little clips hlding the steel fuel line inplace are a pain to undo until you get hte hang, but overall they work well.

Well I used rubber fuel injection line and just removed the bad part and then used two clamps on both ends. It has now been over a month and, Knock on wood, no leaks!

My and my roomate will send the coupe under the knife this friday, so I will keep everyone posted. if all goes well we will use stainless steal line, but since the coupe needs to make a long run sat morning, may have to use rubberline as a quick fix. thanks for the advice.
