Default I've had the city show up twice because of complains... not much they can do since..

it's just a habby. The complaint was that I am running a shop/painting cars in my garage.

Never found out who called, but I have my suspects in check.

Funny thing is that you can use a 1000 spray cans to paint your car and that's all good. The second you hook up a spray gun to a compressor and start painting, that is illegal! Really F*#$^ up world.

Great question BTW

Default I got written up for the parts car in my driveway by the VA "beautification" police... lol

Though he was really nice about it, the main issue was that my property wasn't 'zoned' to do car work. He mentioned that you shouldn't even be dropping a engine/transmission at my house b/c it's considered commercial work or something crazy like that. Thankfully I had the garage door shut w/ the 4000 in pieces inside, otherwise things might have gotten interesting :-P

Default My neighbor is worse than me!

He's usually got four or five cars going, several he's parting or fixing with his son.

Right now I've got three, it's a little tight .

Default That reminds me of the local store in my small hometown.....

the old air pump mounted on the side wall that provided free air 24/7. I remember pumping our bike tires up to massive pressures for faster rides down the local hill, and the store owner scolding us because we didn't reduce the pressure set and car owners were complaining. By the time I was a teen they removed the hose at night because (probably kids) were stealing the end. By time I moved away to university the pump was gone.....and the store closed a few years after that (but has since re-opened).
Now that I'm into old cars I have seen a few of those pumps at swap meets - with folks asking in the hundreds of dollars for a dusty/dirty one.....but I'd still love one for my garage.
Cheers!
