getting a new cam for my 4kq...
I've decided to get a Blausport 272 cam - this will be the first real performance upgrade for the car. Anybody have any experience (good or bad) with those cams?

The 4kq Ive had in my possession and have been working on has one. Car pulls alot better throughout the midrange. Thats really all I know about it, seems to be nice!

My buddy's old red 4kq had a cam from Total Audi Performance. The car sounded a little stronger, and a noticable hp increase. The bad thing is that it never idle wright after it went in, and had a hard time starting in the cold. I am thinking of doing the Blau cam in mine. Let us know how it goes.

I've got one.. my idle is REALY rough... I've also got the "OLD" K-Lambda though..
It sounds mean as hell when it's idling, live a small block V8!!
When it's cold and running rich, it idles SMOOTHER than when it warm, lean and running on the OXS...
I've also done alot more to the engine (see links) so I can't be sure how much is the cam....
The "NF" in general is MUCH smoother than my old "WE".
It does pul VERY hard to 6,000, but still gets flat after that.. rev limiter cuts in @ 6,500 so I don't know how it would perform above that...
