Default Getting tired of fixing this car. I'm thinking about selling. :(

I just put in ANOTHER fuel distributor/air plate assembly today (Saturday) I just did this exact same thing less than a year ago.

Plus the new Bosch fuel pump has started buzzing like crazy, it sounds horrible, and embarrassing.

I don't know, I love the look of the car, just not the upkeep. Maybe it's because I worked at an Audi dealership and got to drove all the newest Audi's, 'cause now I want to buy something newer... but I love this little quattro, it's fun to drive, when it's running right.

Now my CV's are starting to click, and my rears brakes are now squealing upon light pressure. I just don't have the time anymore to keep up with the maintenance on this car.

I just don't know what to do...

I have such a love-hate relationship with my car right now.

Default Get youself something lower maintinance for a daily driver.

But hang onto the quat. It's worth more to you than you can get for selling it & you'll miss it if it's gone.

Default "it's fun to drive, when it's running right."

I totally agree with you. Been comtemplating this for the last couple days. This morning has sealed the cars fate. It will be my full time toy and I will be getting something newer and more practicle.
Just think about how much you'll miss it when it's gone. You have to ask yourself, Is it worth the small amount of money you'll get when selling it? For me it isn't. Too much of my own time, sweat, and bloody nuckles went into it. Just can't trust the damn thing to get me to a real job every morning. Who knows when im gonna go out, try to put the car in reverse, and this happens.

Default Time for a short shifter....

Now you have a good excuse to install one! Anyway, my 4000 sits in a driveway mostly because I want to sort it out so it DOESN'T break down regularly. Of course I work 5 mins. away.... next to an autoparts store.... with co-workers that could transport me to/from work should there be any Audi drama..... and oh yeah, I have another car to drive (although its a VW, drama could ensue any moment, but she ain't a MkIV).

Default too late for the shorty, stole a part off a friends CGT, now I gotta replace his..

When I move I just won't have the availability of my personal Audi junk/parts yard 25mins down the road.

Get that thing on the road already will ya! Audis hate to sit. Just ask Morgan and Mikey.

The car started up without any problem 2 days ago. Aside from that silly brake pump rod clanging around, no unusual behavior. I now have access to a parts car to pick up some missing bits. It's getting there slowly but surely.

Default It is a CONSTANT battlekeeping them running

There is ALWAYS at least one that cant be driven because of mechanical failure, sometimes all are down and I just want to sell or burn everything!!!!!
