Default Got the A4 stuck last night!

Well I drove all the way across the city last night to have dinner with some friends. 30-40 mph on I-5, it was completely covered in snow! I made it there and back just fine and then I get stuck pulling into my damn driveway!!! The wind had drifted the snow a couple feet deep. I tried to plow through but didn't get very far before I high centered the car lol! I've never had my car stuck before. So it was my mission to get it unstuck. Took me about half an hour of digging snow out from under the car to get it moving again. Good times!!!

Before heading home

This is the driveway when I left home, probably a foot deep. Made it through this just fine.

This is snow up over my bumper, almost covering my headlights!

Default Yeah that was a first for me.

It took me awhile to figure out why I couldn't get traction. I dug out @ all the tires was still spinning the tires. Then I looked under the car and the snow was just packed lol. I'm just glad it happened in my driveway and not somewhere else.

Default Question is, do you have snow tires?... we had a Mazdaspeed 6 stuck in few " of snow with all season

tires on our street... it was incredable, because few minutes before I drove through with no issues whatsoever (diffs locked and snows).
It took 4 guys and ton of pushing to get her home. It really makes a huge difference.

Default did that blocks from my house in my 91 90Q with snow tires

I went through a snow drift and got stuck all wheels spinning. It looked like and allroad. A nice man with a tahoe pulled me back out. Im in Pdx too and I spent all day running around doing emergency electrical calls. My 84 4000 sits on sport springs and is under a six foot drift.

Default Yeah, Blizzaks.

They're 2 years old though. Plenty of tread left but not new.

Default Be careful of the belly pan!!!

Years ago we had a massive snowstorm here and after doing a SUV and minivan slalom through city streets with Tantrum I came across a huge black plastic "thing" in the road in front of my house. After parking my car I went out to see what it was....the rings and the part number ID'd it as a A4 belly pan...apparently the fasteners break off with little force.
On friday I pushed 2 hood-height drifts into the garage....and ended up unleashing a massive garage floor flood as the snow surrounding the engine, etc. melted (oops!)
So is this the "disadvantage" of under-car streamlining? Tantrum seems to act like a block plane with the open engine compartment - I've never high-centred it.
Cheers!<ul><li><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNVoGd9RX-w">5000 vs. A4...in the snow</a></li></ul>
