Heed

in an attempt to jump my friends car last night he grounded the pos to my strut bar. woohoo sparks. it pretty much killed my car. at first the electrical wouldn't even turn on. after 5 minutes, the dome and trip came back on but the the car wouldn't start and it again went dead (non dome or lights). we bump started it and it ran fine, but now it's doing the same thing. it won't turn over. if i jus try to turn on the headlights with the key in the off position, the trip dies and goes away. pissing me off. pulled all fuses and tried cleaning the pos on battery, but couldn't get it off. TIA.

1: dead fuse/fusable link somewhere, but as far as I know, Audi didn't do anything like that
2: toasted battery. I'm pretty sure you can actually get a battery to explode by charging it backwards, so that is likely
3: starter relay/solenoid gone. I did this on an old ford truck once

My guess is you need a battery. I'd see if you can steal one from someone to test it out
