HELP!! Someone tell me how to change Drivebelts (83 4000 Fi)
I have a Haynes Manual but it really sucks. I think it was printed in UK, and its very unorganized. Much worse than the Haynes manual for my Nissan.
Anyways I need to change the drivebelts, and spent more than an hour under the car trying to loosen the belts. Behind the power steering pump I see the tension bolt, and on the other side of the bolt there are 2 13mm nuts. I loosened those three and also loosened the long bolt on top of the power steering pump/pulley.
Now it what order do I have to loosen/tighten the nuts and tension-adjuster bolt??? And is there something that Im missing?? thnx in advacne guys
ps I already removed the alternator bolt, but I cant remove the 6mm hex pivot bolt. It's totally frozen!! Sprayed with a ton of liquid wrench, but still wont move..guess it hasnt been touched for 22yrs..
