when I bleed the clutch, I get a milky looking fluid, a lot of small bubbles, that will not go away
could it be the cylinder is sucking in air somehow?
clutch will not even engage now

When I did my brakes with a power bleeder I found the only way to get all the air out of the master was to pump the brake pedal - per the directions in the bleeder kit. I've not tried a clutch but its a pretty simple setup so I'd say it can't hurt. just let it back up slowly to let the pressure fill the cylinder w/o sucking fluid from the slave.

This works on an MG and I don't know if it will work on an Audi. Take a plastic grocery bag and cover the opening for the reservoir with it. Then put the cap back on over the bag(you're trying to make the reservoir air tight). Next, you pump the pedal vigorously and completely about 50 times. Take the plastic bag off and check the pedal. I had to repeat the process twice before I was successful but I was very successful. Hope this helps (it can't hurt).
