Hey GTstyle, I did some further investigating on that 087 409 111 p#...
...the only thing that come close to the 087 409 are certian auto tranny parts like gears and shafts. The 3spd tranny's are no longer avilable thru ETKA so there is no part number listed for your tranny. I pulled the 3spd tranny for a 4k and 5k and plenty of pictures of the 3spd but no part #. Sorry, you may have to cross reference the tranny with the one you have. Where was the part number located on the tranny?

GT - And the answer is....
I don't know :-0 but in looking in the Bentley on page 38.37, it looks to me that tranny code is on the valve body which is under the tranny's fluid pan. I bet if you take that pan off you should find a stamped part number or model number.
