Just like any other deck. Take off the surrounding trim & the deck trim. Unplug it (or cut it out depending on who installed it). Usually the deck also comes with two 'slide pin' things that insert on each side of the deck to loosen up the securing tabs. They are not needed, but it makes it easier. Goodluck!

It's two U-shaped hooks. There's a hole at each corner of the head unit; insert the tools into the holes until you hear/feel it click into place, then pull the head unit out.

Your question was whether you could splice your new door speaker wires into the wires going to your dash speakers.
You run the risk of having two speakers in parallel on each channel which could mean a 2 ohm load to the radio (assuming each speaker was 4 ohms). If your radio can run 2ohm speakers then it will be okay. If you must have the dash and the door speakers playing together, the safest way is to wire them into series. I don't really recommend that, but at least it can't possibly damage your radio. Most radios use single IC type amps with 12V supply rails and they can't drive anything lower than 4 ohms.
The best way is to just abandon the dash speakers in lieu of better door speakers. This will clean up your front sound stage. Or you could wire up a small 4 channel amp to run those 4 front speakers.
You might also consider a passive 2 way crossover. Wire the mids and highs to the 3.5" driver in your dash and the lows to the door speaker (woofer). This should make a 4 ohm nominal to the radio and provide better control.
