I show the starter bolts at 18 ft lb. That seems a bit light. Is 18 ft lb actually correct?

What I properly torque
Headstuds, wheel bolts, clutch stuff, and like Justin said, the IM and EXH bolts/studs.
I do realize torque specs are there for a reason, but I just never had an issue with making certain bolts/nuts tight :P

Yeah, I did use it for clutch and FW... that's part of the "boom" system...
that and wheels. Otherwise, w/ brakes and everything else on the car I go by feel. Haven't been let down yet.

Listing of ALL your I5 Torque settings (and give 44ft/lb for the starter)
Interesting link form Phil Payne's Audi website:
http://www.isham-research.co.uk/quattro/tech.html
So... If you don't have a Bently handy, or you want to know the 'real' torque of the crank pulley bolt..
This linked list gives 44 ft/lb for the starter. Makes more sense that 18, if you ask me.
Rememeber, there ARE some errors in the Bently manual. Some that come to mind are something about rod end torques in ther MC motor, and also somethign about flywheel torqures.
I'd trust Phil's list over Bentleys!<ul><li><a href="http://www.isham-research.co.uk/quattro/torque.html">I5 Torque Settings</a></li></ul>
