Source for an Audi injector pulling tool? I've come up short on all my google searches. I'm so close to figuring out and fixing my car...this tool is stopping me...

99% of the time I've been able to pull them out by hand, but here's something that works even better than the real tool:

Plus you can use them for other things, unlike that glorified piece of angle iron...
Otherwise, see the last sentence and make your own.![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Hmm, that's a good idea rog, I wonder if any of the local department stores will carry those long hose pliers. I can picture how well those would work. I'm not sure if I want to order the factory part.
If I can't find those hose pliers, I'll go ahead and do it by hand. I'm just scared to death about the strength of the fuel lines. I don't know how strong they are, especially where the braided line connects to the injector itself...
Would some WD-40 help loosen any grime around the seals?

Yeah, some kind of penetrant will definitely help. If you're replacing the O-rings then I wouldn't worry too much. But they'll come out regardless. You should definitely be grabbing them by the metal fitting rather than the line.

plan on replacing those phenolic inserts as well. they shrink over time, and the new injector seals will not go in easy and sometimes not at all if you do not replace those inserts. just did the inserts, seals, and injectors on my car, and it runs much better. super smooth like an I5 should be.
cross your fingers that the injector tips don't fall into the engine if you have an 85 or later car. pain in the butt to fish them out, as they are not magnetic

just buy new injector inserts, there like 1.50 each lol. pry them out with a screw driver. new orings and inserts your good to go. Something like that goes along the lines of a battery terminal puller.... completely useless.
