Default instrument cluster bulbs...

and a few other questions,
1) if a IC bulb goes bad, before it burns out completely will it stay on? my OXS light has been on since the wiring repair but the OXS itself loks almost brand new (probably the only thing the PO did!)so I don't think its that, and the light never lit until the new cluster went in...any ideas/input?

2)I noticed a break in the top left side(looking at the front) green plastic electric thingy, the break is right under said top left bulb, would that cause the IC lights to not come on? maybe a break in the current? is there any way to solder/repair the break? its plastic so I'm a lil worried about soldering it...any ideas/input would be awesome.

thanks guys!

1) No, the bulb should not just stay on, unfortuntely. Bulbs are generally bad no continuity or good (continuity). Easy enough to test with a DMM.

2) Yes, this could very well cause the IC lights to not function. This is akin to a wire becoming broken and losing continuity.

I've noticed the same break on a spare instrument cluster, any suggestions on how to fix?

I was thinking a bridge of some kind maybe? to preserve the continuity as for my damn OXS light I don't know what the hell to do!

Does the lead for the OXS light come from the sensor or from the ICU? That's where I'd start...

Default Check the ground wires back there.

If that circuit has a worn spot, then the lights will stay on.

Default The OXS light is triggered by a milage counter.

It meerly means its time to get the oxygen sensor checked there is supposed to be a reset for it, but I just pulled the bulb out.
