Hi, I am new to this group as of today. A very short history. I grew up with air cooled VWs, My first car was a 70 Bug. Graduated to Audis in 92? 81 Audi 4000ES. Then a 84 4000S which I still have as a daily driver except the clutch TO bearing failed a few weeks ago, weather finally warm enough to start work on it. It has 336,000 approx. miles on it. 78 mile round trip commute. I picked up a 87 4K quattro off E-bay (Picked up in Atlanta GA) last fall for the worst winter driving (Northwest Ohio, Lima). I am working the various bugs out of it. Will give more info later if anybody is interested. Well the idle has been high and getting higher. I found the rubber hose assembly that supports the idle stablizer valve is rotted and had a very large tear in it. The part number is 034-103-247B. This is discontinued, I did a google searce and every place that came up did not have the part in stock. Anybody have one?? I have lots of parts that I could trade or work out something for cash. If I don't find one I will try to make something up out of copper tees and short pieces of hose.
I work in industrial maintenance and I have done all my own work on the Audis and VWs. I may be able to help with troubleshooting problems or be able to give advise on what I have done to do repairs without the special Audi shop tools. Example removing front wheel bearings on the car, replacing bushings. Electrical problems and solutions.

I have one for you (used but great condition). If you are broke it is free but you pay shipping. Not broke? You pay shipping and whatever you feel is a fair price. Welcome to this forum.

034Motorsports sells a silicon replacement for $35 (minus the hoop for the idle stabilizer).
