Default Manual Antenna for 86' GT

Does anyone know where I can find a manual antenna for my 1986 GT Coupe? I have tried my local dealer, InterAmerican Motor Corp (IMC), EBay and several "junk yards" such as Showcan and Dad's Auto.

Any help would be much appreciated as mine finally broke.

Cheers
Kurt

Default Kurt, do you need the assembly or the mast? Mast is still available....

mind you for a power antenna, but you can cut the plastic cord and use it in a amanual asembly.. I think it's $70 or so at the dealer.
WHatever you do, do not throw out the assembly.... I'll take it off your hands if you don't find a home for it.

Default If you can't get the factory antenna working, you can always get a 'generic' fixed antenna..

You can get a 'generic' fixed antenna from almost any car parts store. I got mine for ~15.00

Only problem may be that you need an adaptor to connect new antenna to the Audi antenna wire funky connector. (Or just 'cut and splice', if you must..)

You also have to pay a bit of attention to the alignemnt of the antenna when installing, to make sure that it clears the trunk lid when opening..

Thanks. I guess I just need the mast (ie the metal external part). The black plastic base which resides in the trunk area is fine.

Do you know where I can find just a the mast?

Cheers

Yes, I believe it's a Fuba part no. 855 035 509 FBO

It also had FIZ-NR 372 written on it.

Thanks for the help.

Cheers
