Here's my 1987.5 CGT. Bad pic, only had a 640x480 camera at the time. Only mods so far are Boge Progas at all 4 corners, and a full stereo upgrade. Soon it will get:

1. Body work to remove all dings and the silly pin stripes.
2. Full respray in the original Anthracite Black (7-10 stage respray at the best shop in SE Virginia, they do all the show cars down here)
3. Tinted tails and center secion (have a spare set, will get the spares tinted then swap out)
4. Borbet Type E wheels, not sure whether to go 15" or 16", don't want to totally wreck the ride quality
5. Window tint: Maddox 100% metalic in 30% front, 20% rear.
6. Exhaust work: 2.25" piping, leave resonator where it is, ditch the rear muffler and end it with dual slightly squared tips.

The above should all be done by the end of the year, with the possible exception of the wheels.

Long term plans:
1. Performance engine rebuild, hoping to get about 160 HP out of her.
2. If the above doesn't happen and I can save the money, a 20V swap.

Yes, that's my 1993 RX-7 R1 in the background. She's my weekend toy, the Coupe is my daily driver.

Default If you're keeping this '83 and want it to look real good...

I'd recommend you get the euro-bumpers for that year. They look great on the car (better than the 85-87 in my opinion). Also, the euro headlights wouldn't hurt.

I'd also lose those little reflectors below your tail lights. BTW, I used to own an '82. Loved it.

Default Re: front spoiler

Mik, I know you've been asked this b4 but where did you get that front chin spoiler? Was it an option? If so do you possibly have a part #? Or did you build it? If so, out of what and what did the project entail? And I gotta ask this... Which car did you like better? Your CGT or you current Audi?
