I need to redo my exhaust and I need a new down pipe cause the cat is welded to it. so I was thinking about either doing a Stebro or Scorpion or just going custom again. Are there performance differences between the three options. I know custom will be cheaper. I don't know what to do.

the stebro or scorpion cat's and mufflers may be higher performance or quality than the muffler shop can give you. however, there are performance muffler shops that shouldn't be overlooked performance wise.

and since the custom job is cheaper overall, that means you can get a higher quality pipe for the same price as a whole kit would run you from stebro or scorpion. unless of course they are stainless steel in which that can be pricey either way you go.

you could always buy the muffler or cat that you want, and any decent shop should put it on for you no problems, and also with the higher quality pipe.
