A friend's got a rabbit that now goes too fast and need to make it stop. The stock 9.6" brakes just aren't cutting it. It needs to be upgraded to 10.1".
Need calipers and carriers. Will go with new rotors.

It would need to be an '86 or '87 CGT or an '85 through '87 4K. However The model guide has led me astray before.
if an '85 is the same as the '86/'87 then I guess it would work.
I'll have to look and see if I have a good accumulator around. I think I have two, but I don't know if they're good. I'll have to look and see.

All the same front brakes - Girling G54's are what you're looking for. That said, they're cheap enough new, I think I paid 90$ rebuilt, then all you need is the carriers.

The '88 90 also had the 10.1" brakes.
I'm wondering now if they would also work.
If that's the case I can grab them off the junk 90, it certainly won't need them any more.
According to ETKA the part numbers are:
443 615 124 F caliper on the front/left (Girling)
443 615 125 F caliper carriers (Girling)
443 615 301 B 256x22 rotors
A 4kq uses:
357 615 123 A caliper on the front/left
853 615 125 caliper carriers
853 615 301 C 256x20 rotors
Questions questions...

tearing the brakes of the 90 first and take a look see to compare them with the Rabbit parts up close.
Then if we have to we'll go the 4kQ route.
