I traded my '91 Infiniti M30 convertible for a '83 Audi Coupe GT (FWD) manual. It has a 2.2L motor from an '85 in it. A performance machine it is not, but it will get me through the winter and then I'll work on a turbo swap in the spring.
The car has over 300k miles supposedly, but the body is straight without any rust and the leather seats are perfect.
And onto the pics (sorry for the crappy iphone pics, gf has the camera)-

I plan to do a 10VT swap in it in the spring, bigger brakes, rear discs, newer dash, suspension, bushings, euro headlights and tail lights, and definitely 15-16" BBS style wheels

Odd, my Audi has a fuse box under the hood. Is this normal? I thought they didn't do that until '84? I still have the under dash fuse box with a couple relays and relay terminals but no fuse.
Is this factory or did one of the last owners do it when he swapped the newer motor in? The car has a build date of May '83, so its a later model. Maybe Audi switched things over in late '83?

Very nice! I'm still working on getting it back up and running well. Just gave it a tune up (new spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, plug wires). Still need to change the oil, fix the headlights, swap the dash, etc...
Which wheels do you have on yours? Are you in WA too? Hit me up on AIM/MSN/Yahoo/what not. I'd love to meet up with another CGT owner. I was the only CGT at the XXX Root Beer Vortex/Evo/STi meet last Sunday

Regretably I am not in Washington state.
Massachusetts believe it or not.
I do visit WA periodically though.
Woodinville area.
The wheels are Ronal R8's like yours but the size is 7x15 et 28 on a 4x100 PCD. Very rare deep dish R8's. They transform the look of the car. Drives better too. They'd look stellar on your CGT. There is another style with a smaller lip, they are 7x15 et 42.
Love to chat/PM.

Why Euro lights?
Do you mean an H4 conversion, leaving the super retro quadlamps in?
You'll need to do a little extra wiring if you do.
I hear you on the springs, as I'm still researching the best way to lower my CGT 30-40mm without cutting original housings up for coilovers. There used to be a few lowering kits available in the US. Now they are hens teeth even in Europe, real $ with extra for overseas shipping. Spax is still popular in the UK. Early quad light CGT's are highly sought after in England.
