Now the next question...how the heck do the frt struts come apart??

Hooray for me for finding these H&Rs, but I had to take the entire strut assembly as I didn't have time to disassemble them on-site. I have to admit this is one job I've never done, and am a bit puzzled as to what holds them together. I thought the top nut released everything, but apparently not as they are still intact. Uh, what do I do now?

I assume you have the spring and everything off of the strut housing? There is a large metal cap that holds the strut insert in. Its large and requires a pipe wrench to remove. Unscrew that and the strut insert can be pulled out.

Compress the spring, remove the top "cap" that holds the spring in, and the spring should lift right off of the assembly. It's been a while since I put my Jamex's in, so I might be a little off.

for the strut bearing and the nut that holds the strut assenbly together. Once you compress the spring, it should be easy to remove.
