A bit late for this. Anybody working on or planning on weekend wrenching crap?
Installed coilovers in my old roomies Mk2 GTI yesterday, didnt take too long. I love the 2 piece strut housings, they make things soooo easy.

How much resistance is normal compressing the piston on G38 brakes? these had an odd wrench required kinda like the one for the strut top. I ended up using my channel lock pliers on it. I think that the caliper may have been dragging all along. The pads on that wheel were worn down to metal the other wheels still have plety left. Now I've boggered the hard line & will have to R&R that tomorrow. Also will see about doing ebrake cables.
