actually i think audi is trying to be too classy for that kinda riff raff. they should break down and strip all the excess weight out of an rs4, chop the price in half and sell it here. everyone at subaru would cry

in such a crappy car. Same with the new Mitsu Evo. Audi doesn't bother with these guys, but wait until the B6 S cars get going. The S4 is going to munch on E46 M3s, and I hear the RS4 is coming to the states.

Nice. Thats actually not much power from a 2.5L turbo. Only 300 hp. Seems like the Suby tuners should be able to get that up to 400hp without difficulty.
With the suspension mods and vast aftermarket support available to the WRX, they're a natural choice for the lower budget sports coupe. I think Audi should follow this example and get back to their rally roots. IMO, a resurrection of the 20V I5 w/ alloyblock would be pretty sweet. Get the car down to 3000lbs and they'd have something.

ppl that buy maximas bc they have 255hp, forgetting that fwd sucks ***. regardless of what audi puts out, its gonna be double the price of what all these kids parents can afford.i dont particularly mind rooting for audi trying to be a step above but do you think they should try to be more active in the $20-30k range? even lamborghini is (regrettably) coming out with an "entry level" $150K mini murcielago. on a side note, that entry level lamborghini is rumored to run on 2 fewer cylinders than every previous one. as a die hard lamborghini fan, a V10 sounds like blasphemy
