Well I havn't been here for quite a while. The old 84 is now up to 350,680 miles. She takes me to work 38 miles one way commute. I have been smelling gasoline for a while when I park. We had her up on my friends lift to change the front pads and rotors. I looked at the fuel pump area and found the pump is leaking. It seems to be the body of the pump and not one of the fittings or lines Everything is rather rusted back there so I am very worried about breaking a line or fitting when I take this apart. (OHIO WINTERS=SALT) Well I decided to order a new Bosch pump. I havn't been able to find any of the lines or fittings. I did get a new fuel filter that goes after the pump as well. My problem is I havn't been able to find the filter that goes between the tank and the inlet to the pump. Closest dealer is 90 miles away. So does anybody have the filter part number or even better know a common filter in the autoparts places that I can use. We have Napa, Autozone, O'Reilly etc.

I should have put in the first note. I am going to be parting out my wifes old 89 100 2.2 liter. It has the pump in the tank but looking at the exploded views it looks like I might be able to salvage the fuel lines and other fitting that go between the pump to the filter and the accumulator. And probably the accumulator etc. I am going to strip this car down before it goes to the scrapyard. The engine is real nice, it will go in the basement room with all the other spare parts for the 84 4K and the 87 4KQ. I will try to get rid of the other parts that I can't use. Probably on the forum.
