To do a close up before/after pic...
...this is right around the front fender trim (still have a few spots to get in close to the trims/around the windows/etc)...so you can see what the paint was like before/after.

Go buy some shoe polish!
Get the stuff that comes with a little foam applicator pad. Just smear it all over the black plastic moldings/bumpers, and it'll make them look new again.

They just look like that since they've been hit with excess compound/polish/wax...
...they're actually pretty dark...just need to be cleaned off...

Not a problem! For some more reference...
Here's what rubbing compound/polish/wax did for my '88 80 right after I got it...remember older Audi red paints don't have a clear coat so they oxidize quickly...but...it came right back after a lot of elbow grease...
