Default so, this wasn't the factory adhesive?

was the car repainted at one time and molding put back on or something?

Default Yes... you can ask.

I wanted Dolphin Grey Metallic (Audi colour) but I couldn't afford the cost of the tri-coat paint, so I tried for a dark grey/blue colour. It didn't turn out exactlyas I wanted, but good enough for now.

I plan I doing a full white pearl paint in the next few months or so. Then I'll do a nice blue/gray colour for the hood.

The reason for blue/grey, is I think white and blue are a nice combo.
