Can this be done? Looks like all I need is a nice piece of stock looking dash, and find a way to pop it in. I'm looking to put in 3 guages there. And getting rid of the center vent is no biggie becuase it just blows in outside air anyway. Tell me what you think and maybe you have a pic of someones car who did it? Thanks... Here's a pic of an interior that looks like mine... (ddg's, minus the urq extra guage panel)
Any other ideas for stock looking guage mounting locations? A-pillar?

If i put the Heater controls in the center dash location, then move my head-unit up where the heater controls were, and then mount the extra 3 guages where the cd player was. Might look extra slcik with all 6 guages down near the factory location. What do you think?

I still like this idea. Remove center vents, replace with this piece that is $20 at virtual world parts with the holes already cut into it.
If the center vents are 1 DIN, it should work. I would prefer that over making something because it has the original finish (actually a different finish on either side).

Here's my install. The panel is a trimmed down 4ks part and was a press-fit. There's a slight gap at each end where the panel tapers but it doesn't bother me. I had to take the vent plumbing out but that's doable without pulling the dash apart. The only drawback is not being able to see the left most guage without leaning over as the wheel is blocking it. The other two are in plain view and let passenger's know when to scream.
