Default possible 1982 Audi Coupe purchase

Have located a very nice 1982 Audi Coupe here. 2 owner car with 85,000 miles. Has one small rust out above passenger side rear tire well. One wheel slightly bent. All original. Interior absolutely perfect. Runs very well, everything works fine. Any thoughts on a fair price? Lady who owns has not mentioned a price yet but she hinted she was looking at NADA low to medium value. That would be about $1500 to $1800. Any thoughts? Would be a nice complement to my 84 4000S.

Default That sounds like an ok price to me

Mileage and interior are good points + female owned.
Still expect to be replacing bushings and other rubber things after 23 years.
It's a 5 cyl manual right?

Yes , 5 cyl manual. The price range is what I assume she will be in after her NADA comments. Given the overall condtion of the car and the milage if she wants $1500 or $1600 I would also consider that in the ballpark. If she won't name a price I think I'll make a first offer of $900 and see what happens. However, I think she knows she has a fairly unique piece there.

Default "Female owned" doesn't give me confidence, many times that could have meant no repairs

done until the idiot light came on for something.

Default But more of them, more likely to have issues

My 5+5 was 100% reliable. It never had a problem, otoh, my 87.5? Still very reliable...but more problems than the old WE powered cars...plus, the early Coupes jsut look badass IMHO. I'd rock that for any price udner $2,000...
