Default Quattro War!!!

I recently let my friend borrow my car to take up to Mammoth, Ca. Since his older brother took his 200 quattro after his V8 caught on fire, he was left without Quatttro. He tried to tell me my car was iffy in the snow and that i should probably get some chains. I was very offended, cause i just took my car up to tahoe and i was cutting through the snow with just all-season tires. He then said that his 200 quattro is way better in the snow than mines. I drove his in the snow too and i think mines is way better. This argument got very personal quickly (no one was hurt though). Anyone object to this? 4000cs quattro or 200 quattro in the snow?

Default 4000q, lock the diffs and it should walk all over a 200q

don't worry he's just jealous or he didn't lock the diffs.

Default depends on conditions

In certain cases, with the right tires, a 200 could walk a 4000, simply because of weight and power. Other conditions would favor the lighter, less powerful 4000. My 4000Q was nearly undriveable in the snow with summer tires (Dunlop SP8000's) on it. Put snows on a V8, though, and look out....

Depends on the tires. I'd take a Honda Civic with studded snows over a quat with crappy all seasons.

Default Agree... we've proven this by racing 4kq (115hp) and an S4 (220hp) and 4kq.....

and the 4kq won a drag race on snow covered ice.. Both had snow tires!!
Because of the ability to lock both diffs the 4kq got off the line way better than the S4.
And the S4 just never cought up.
The strip was about 1/8 mi.

Default Der. Read above. V8's kick S4 butttttt.......

Put snows on a V8, and mash the throttle. Trust me, no 4000 will keep up.
