Default On a quest for: Working Front Window Switch, and Window Regulator Mounts

Let's just say that one of my window switches and I disagreed about working so, it decided to do battle with mr. BFH... Needless to say BFH won. So now I'm looking for a new working front window switch and also the weird mounting rubber things for the window regulator(Long shot I know)

Let's just say all of mine (window regulator fasteners for drivers side.) decided to shear off...

Thanks,
Richard.

On my 4000q I noticed something banging in the door when I went over bumps. Took off the door panel to find the culprit...it was the regulator hitting against the door b/c of the rubber mounts you speak of were missing. To solve the prob I put a couple of layers of thick double sided tape on the side of the reg that would hit the door and then just zip tied the regulator to the door. Hope that helps.

Default Have you tried opening up the switch and cleaning it?

Usually contacts just need a good cleaning. Careful when you open it up. Two ball bearings, two copper rockers and a couple of spirings will try to get away.

Default Yeah, I attempted to clean it to no avail.

Needless to say... Window switch is now smashed in a fit of rage, so If anyone has a working spare lying around that I could purchase off of them. If not they are like $17 through AZ autohauz.

I thought about using zip ties, Maybe I'll just use a few of them. Thank you for the idea!

Thanks for the info guys!
