You know blaus Throttle Body mod? To me it seems expensive for what is done..is it possible to take a TB into the machine shop and have them do the same thing? I think would be WAY cheaper. Thanks for any feedback.

http://audiquattroparts.com/throttle_body.htm</a

Worth what you paid for it. ![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I think it's a rip-off. Unless you make the primary venturi larger (not just polish it or flare it, which is what I think they do) you're not going to gain any flow. What I think you really get from that as an improvement is the linkage mod that probably allows the throttle plates to open quicker. I'm going to do this to mine as soon as I get a donor one from the junkyard to screw with.
I haven't found any throttle plate from another car that fits the 4k due to the stupid oval boot arrangement from the CIS box.
I'm not sure, but I think the NG/NF is physically different that the boot won't fit it either. Anyone with a CIS-EIII care to comment?
