I am in need. My trunk bit me last night as i was taking the food (read beer and chips) out of the trunk for the Hockey game last night. I think I should replace my the struts that hold my trunk up. Where is the best place to get these?
Thanks for the help. Like minds think the same

IIRC, they're under $30. They're always on ebay for more or less that amount too. A quick search turned this up (maybe not the right style?):

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2412597415&cat egory=33656</a

Mine are in the same condition(use a 2X4 to hold trunk open). I looked at the strut and can't figure out how to get to the far end that's hidden back beside the gas tank. Any hints ??
Thanks

I just ordered a pair of trunk struts for my 4000 from www.germanautoparts.com for $37.00 (18.50 ea). They are in upstate NY, near Albany.
I've bought other Audi parts from them, good folks to deal with.
