I just bought a set of used Recaros for my CGT, the fore and aft is mechanical, but the up and down is electric. One motor is missing altogether. The motor that is there has a Bosch Part Number 0-130-002-405. I can't find a reference to that number anywhere on the Web. I'm hoping it is used by VW, Audi, BMW, can anyone help?

Is it a set of Trophy Recaros? The black and grey ones? (If so I'm jealous) also.. If so, you may need to check w/ the VW dealer. I have heard they came either stock or as an option in 16V GTI's and Jetta GLI's from 1988?-1992. Someone else may have more information for you. You might try the vwvortex forums.

I checked the VW dealer and got the part number. I also got the information that there is not a single motor in stock, anywhere in the U.S. My 16V Scirocco doesn't have them.

I have three sets of CGT seats, I am going to cut and weld a base that will bolt up to the Recaros. I don't see why I really need an electric up & down. On another set I am going to put '83 vinyl on my '82 heated seats, for winter. The rest of the '83 interior is going into my '82. I am not a big fan of vinyl, but it is a lot better than my torn Tartan interior.
