When I did my '84, I did the wheel hubs, tie rod end on L, strut brearings [already had new struts in there], and both lower controll ends.
This made a real difference, now my car drives soooo much better. I've still got to get the R tie rod end replaced, however am needing the entire tie rod there, and still looking for that at a reasonable price.

Remember that you stand a good chance of changing your toe in when you change the tie rod end.
Try and get the new tie rod set to the same length as the old one was. Perhaps measure your toe if before you pull off the old tie rod.
Or.. Note the position of your steering wheel when driving straight ahead before you pull off the old tie rod end. When you get the new one one, by trial and error, set things till you end up with the steering wheel pointing the same way as before.
Not very accurate, and a lot of trial and error, but bettter than nothing...
Or just go and get a proper alignment!
