Rethinking suspension
Been pondering the suspension setup on the 4kq the past few days. H&R's are definately going on, sometime, but Im thinking of a different set of shocks to get. Im thinking Koni (if they make them for our car). Car is a daily driver, and I realize it will be a rougher ride. Having ridden in my friends TSI with a very stiff suspension, I like it. He has some sort of really nice adjustable ground control setup. Boge Turbo Gas' were originally slated to be installed at some point, but Im not sure if its gonna firm up the ride to my wants.
Id like some comments on what kind of inserts will go good with the H&R's, and give it a firm ride. As you can tell, Im a bit indecisive, but can ya blame me, I dont wanna do this again if I dont like the setup. And, if I end up getting something else, the Boge's will be for sale.
Comments welcome, please!

You get what you pay for!!
Konis are very expensive ($280.a pair frnt, $200.a pair rear) but in my opinion they're the best! I have adj. sports which are pretty stiff. You can go with the standard adj. Konis. I prefer them over Bilsteins.

I have eibach and Boge Turbo gar on my 4kq........
with my 16 inch borbets I really like the ride. Very tossable in the twisties, good under braking too.
on my urq, I have Eibach and Koni yellows. I'm not sure I like it as much. Yes, they're adjusted all the way stiff.

I would try KYB
I bought some GR-2 gas cartriges, (I didnt replace the springs because they almost looked new, odd that the person didnt replace the shocks when he replaced the springs.) At first the ride on the new shocks really sucked, but after a few months and driving over many speed bumps, they seem to have almost calmed down to the level of the stock shocks. They also raise the car up a hair, which was good for me, since I was scraping on the old setup.
