Default Seat heater help!

A while ago(2years) I put black leather 4000 quattro seats that came with seat heaters in my 87.5 coupe GT. I have the correct dash piece with the switches that control the temp and I finally just bought the relays from force 5, now I just need to wire it all together. Does anyone know how to wire in the relay to the switch and the seat? I know this is asking alot but any help in the right direction would be appreciated...I already read Huw powell's write up and it is good for fixing a seat that's already wired but nothing pertaining to how it gets wired up. Thanks.

P.S. if anyone was wondering, I used the seat back frame off my old seat and pulled the black leather over the old seat so I could use the flip foward thing(even though I like to only ride two deep) I then had a piece of leather sewn on where the recline wheel was on the inside of the seat.

Default I'd pick up a Hyanes manual and read the wiring diagrams (or a Bentley if you can find one)

I wouldn't think it'd be hard to hook up. By far one of the coolest "luxury" items on these cars.

Default Re: Seat heater help!

If you have the wiring harness and connectors it's a piece of cake. The harness has 2 powered wires, a large red one for heat and a smaller blk/yellow? one for the illumination. Just remove the ground from the battery and lift the fuse panel up; the 2 wires plug right in. Install a fuse in the right slot and enjoy. I just did this in Nov. e-mail me with any questions, I'm at work right now and don't have acess to my Bentley manual for specifics. The most time consuming part was taking the carpet up to put the harness from the donor car in.

Default Where are you?

I *might* be able to get you some harnesses this weekend if you still need them. Shoot me an e-mail, and I'll get back to you after class today.

Default Haynes doen't have wire diagrams for the later models

this crappy manual just keeps getting crappier! Not only does it not cover my engine, but most of the stuff in here applys to like 1981 coupes & 4000s. No seat heater wiring diagram!
