I'm looking to pick up a Bentley for my car, and I was curious if anyone knew of a good source of inexpensive copies. Alternatively, I was thinking of picking up a 1 year subscription to AllData for the car, but I'm wary of doing so without knowing the quality of information provided. As such, I was curious if anyone had any experience with the AllData information for the car, and if so, if it is recommended.

I've had a subscription on my Audi before and it was decent enough. I ended up unsubscribing only because I bought the Haynes and Bentley.
On the other hand, I've had an alldata subscription for my Subaru (factory manual costs around $800!) for the last 3 years or so. It's been mostly accurate but I have found one or two part numbers that were incorrect. Overall I like it a lot and it's been very helpful.
I don't think alldata will have as much info as the Bentley. If you plan on working on your car at all splurge for the $100 (cheaper on ebay if you're lucky) and buy the Bentley. Period.

seriously, I looked up clutch replacement and it was VERY vague, the bentley will tell you all you need to know and then some...
i would spend the $$ and get the bentley. you won't regret it.

On my Subaru clutch replacement was an exact procedure about 25 steps long. It was extremely helpful, especially regarding bolt torques (only because I don't have the Subaru manuals). I remember the Audi details as being somewhat vague which I attributed to it being an older vehicle. There's not as much support because of that I think
