shifter gate on a 4kq? Thoughts?

4k's side to side motion is so large the gate would cause your shifting to be
very slow and more calculated then normal (as you would now be aiming for the slots instead of shifting normally). Gated shifting assemblies ala most ferrari's of the 90's have a very tight shift pattern, maybe 1/2" away from each gate and the entire assembly is maybe 4" across, your 4000 would need something like 6-7" across and over an inch between each gate...
