Default

The radiator fan turns on only when it reaches certain temp. It just doesnt come on if the AC is on.

Default I disagree 100% Maybe it's different on the 2.3 CGT///

On mine even If the fan relay is REMOVED I'm about 98% sure the fan comes on immediatly with the AC...

Default On my 2.3...

It seems to be tied to the compressor. It ALWAYS comes on as soon as the AC is turned on, but it does cycle on and off. On the 2.3, the radiator fan is a 2 speed fan. The high speed comes on with AC and/or when the engine gets hot. It should sound like a tornnado when high kicks in.

Default Mine, the fan does not turn on right away after hitting the switch. Weird.

Why would it come on anyways if the engine is at a normal temp?

Default Could be a relay.. more likely than wiring

As you may or may not know, those relays are notorious for getting hot and melting down. When I got my ride, the relay that turns on the fan when the engine is hot was melted and at one point had drawn so much current that it welded the contacts into the socket. Needless to say, that relay was not working. Vise-Grips to the rescue. I replaced ALL my relays with Siemens. Put them in with dielectric to keep the contacts fresh, and also I put dielectric on the box seal to try stop any moisture that was trying to get in. Next time I get something with a silica gel pack I might throw it in there too...
