so my '82 has the squishy spoiler... can i swap that out for the plastic?

Default Re: No, only the Ur-Q post 86 got the fiberglass lid, GT's remained stamped steel.
We also got the Coupe Quattro (GT with the 4000 quattro transmission), 85-88, some of those got the fibre lid (I've seen at least 2 myself), and a small number of GT's got the fibre lid too....

Maybe it was only US that didn't get, same as their 4k's only got 4 cyl's.

Default OH - I'm going to have to squeeze a 84 now.
both my 83's are squishy - although the newer 83 is kind of non-glossy matt black and the early 83 is glossy black.

My 85 urq has a composite deck lid....also, Mike Hopton had one for sale a while back
