Squeaking clutch.
My clutch has developed an annoying squeak, it's almost like a slippng belt. A couple of days ago I was in stop & go traffic and probably rode the clutch. I'm thinking it's either glazed or the throwout bearing is going bad. Should I put in a new clutch now or hope it lasts a while longer?

Re: Squeaking clutch.
If the clutch squeaks when you press the pedal, good chance it's the throwout bearing. But using it a lot in traffic shouldn't make that much differance, I'd think. The throwout bearing is designed for use thousands of times..
Glazing makes the clutch itself slip (motor revs go up, but car doesn't go faster), usually noticable more in higher gears.
So WHEN does it make the squeak noise?
