My car stutters when accelerating for about the first 5 mins of driving. What would be wrong? I'm thinking it might be the thermostat. It almost is like hitting an acceleration wall at 3000 rpm. I mean it will accelerate above 3000 but very slowly. Then when the car warms up it accelerates nice and quickly.
Thnx

GOOD CHANC IT IS THE THERMO. IT MIGHT BE STICKING SLIGHTLY WHICH IN TURN ALLOWS THE COOLTEMP SENSOR TELL THE ECM THAT ITS RUNNING COOLER GIVING YOU A RICHER GAS THAT WOULD MAKE THE CAR ACT UP. BE VERY AWARE THAT THE THERMO ACTUALLY HAS A CRITICAL ROLE IN PEAK PERFORMANCE.
