Tensioning alternator belt

So my 4k has option 2 here, Is the track the only way to adjust the tension, because at full length its still loose, what are the appropriate measurements for an alternator belt

Assuming you still have a stock alternator setup with the "toothed" adjuster. You have to loosen ALL 3 bolts (pivot, small bolt that holds the toothed bolt, and another bolt that attaches to the toothed bracket). Then using the correct size box wrench, tension the belt, and hold, then tighten the small bolt on the big toothed bolt. Tighten the rest of the bolts and you should be done.
