I'll have to try some of the black permatex. Ive blown smoke through the lines a few times and couldnt see any leaks. It is leaking through my vac advance on my distributor, but even when plugged off it doesnt change how it runs. I've replaced all the small fabric wrapped vac lines in the engine bay and to the charcoal canister.
When I blow into the intake boot through vac lines, there is quite a bit of air movement, im guessing its going around the air metering plate?
Could the canister be leaking? thats why no smoke comes out because its going through the charcoal filter?
Is vacuum being drawn from the diff and door locks all the time? or only when turned on? or are they powered only by the vac pump in back? Because those most likely leak a fair amount.
Thanks for all the help guys and sorry for all the questions! Im putting plates back on her Monday and start to drive it to work

Yes I did! It turned out to be a faulty idle switch, which I temporarily fixed with a piece of a clothes hanger and a rubber band. I also had a really bad injector out of the box which didnt help.
To find out if your idle switch is working you can hook up to the plug harness with a multimeter.
