Tugging and pulling steering wheel to start my 4Q
This starting to get real annoying. You how the ignition sometimes won't engage if the front wheels are at a turned angle (this holds true with just about any car). So, you yank real hard on the steering wheel with the key in the ignition until it releases. Well, my 4Q is extremely touchy in that department. If I park with my front wheels at any type of angle the ignition lock sticks and it results in several minutes of tugging and pulling to get it to let loose. Any one encounter similar problems or have any suggestions?

Try this
Park with the car in gear and the parking break on. The car must be rolling or your stopped on something that has turned the wheels a bit to engage the steering lock after the key has been removed. If you can arrange it so the steering wheel dosn't move it won't happen.
Oh yes, an other cause is people (of a certain build) tugging the steering wheel to help get themselves out of the car. Another no no.
My 2 cents worth.

Re: Try this
another trick is to open the locking mechanism up and pull the pin that locks into the column. I have done this on a honda. It is only there to stop theives from stealing the car, but there is an assumption that every car has it, so a thief wont assume you do. On a racecar you would want to pull that mechanim out. you could also pull the whole key thing out and make a big red start button on the dash and just lock the doors.
