Default That's a beautiful urq!

Go for it. We would all be SO envious and of course, that's reason enough in itself!

Default Not really...the 84 was an in-between year for a lot of the upgrades.

There is more confusion with the 84s electrics than anything else. Some have the fuse panel under the hood, while some have it under the dash. It's crazy how these cars were finished. There are some early 83 VIN cars that have the 84 upgrades, and some late VIN that don't. 84s have some of the 85 upgrades, and some don't. Just depended on what parts were available when a particular car was on the assembly line. If a car came down the line and they ran out of a certain part, those cars were put aside and worl was completed on another. The urq went down the lines with the race cars, not the production cars. Hand built, 3-4 cars a week.

restore to this condition?
Just buy it and drive on rare weekends... or to UPG events!

Default Sorry to say but as far as '85 goes it will never be anything....

the years to look out for are '81, '83, '88 MB and 20v RR.
World wide there was just way too many '85s to make them special... US cars will never be collectable... only the Euro versions and in those special years..

'81 for first year and cable locks.
'83 for first updates, digi dash, ABS and updated look with H4/H1s etc. etc.
'88MB for limited run with a different engine and torsen center diff..
'90-91 20v RR... well I don't have to explain why... the final and best version of the original idea.
