Default Updated Pics: Projects Finished

Finished putting in Ground Control coilovers, rear sway bar, and Euro headlamps.

I'll admit, I bought the headlamps mainly for cosmetic purposes but the lighting capabilities with the "high wattage" bulb package are incredible. Turned night into day... Rear sway bar finally killed the unbearable body roll; highly recommend it to anyone tired of the CGT's or 4k body roll.

The car looks great, the Euros really set it off.

Default Re: Info on the Ground Control suspension?

You have to provide enough information or supply them with a stock rear shock assembly in order for them to "custom" make a package for you. They offer a set for 4kq's that have a near identical front strut assembly. To install the front, you must remove the lower spring seat on the housng that the replacement strut cartridge is placed into. Then weld on the supplied seat that the threaded adjuster will sit on. Didnt prove to be as big of a task as I had thought.

http://www.ground-control.com</a

Car looks great.Do Euro headlamps fit straight in place of US style healdlamps? Are US lights same as 88 80 saloon lights> I'm contemplating replacing my Eurolights (rusting reflectors) with cheaper readily available (here in NZ) 80 saloon lights

Default VERY nice

I love your car.
Hey, could you email me about your lights...when my new lens shows up, I could use a little coaching on wiring those boys up. mxbreed@paonline.com, thanks.

Default Lamps

The euro lamps fit in where the US ones do, but you need the metal brackets that hold them, and obviously the wiring needs to be changed somewhat. The 4k and 4kq US are the same parts as the CGT 85-87.

Default Did you relay the lights?

If so, did you make all the relay wiring yourself or buy a predone system? Can you provide a few details?

Default FANTASTIC - that looks great! I wish my GT looked that good.

Have you had your car painted? I have been thinking about painting mine, but I am not sure if you can paint the rear wing. I also want to remove the door bumper guards and entirely paint the front and rear bumbers. Anyways - your car looks great!
