Default Weekend tinkering

I found a trim piece (lower black chin lip) in the trunk of a 4k at a junkyard. I thought it was for a 4k so I picked it up for $5. Once I got home, I tried to test fit it, and it was too small, looked like it was for a Jetta. That was 6 months ago, yesterday I tried to fab it up somehow to my car.

To make it fit, I had to cut it in half. The gap was about 5", so because I needed to install my front plate, I decided to cover the gap with my plate.

I didn't have the complete lower grill, so it looked like *** to only have part or it there. So I ripped it out, cut all the little supports and installed some expanded aluminum mesh (rice-boy mesh) I painted it black and zap straped it into place. I like how it looks, I wasn't sure how it'd turn out. but not bad.

I also installed my front set of Boge Gas Turbos, now I have them on all 4 corners!

Granted my front end isn't the prettiest to begin with, so ignore the non reflectors and paint chips.

I'm missing the lower grille, where did you get the riceboy chickenwire?

Default Any hardware store.

It's called "expanded aluminum", I believe it's used in building construction, to help plaster adhere to the walls. It came in a large sheet and was cheap, about $8.

I painted this one, but I think I may remove it and coat it with rubber rock gaurd or undercoating spray. Just so it won't chip.
