Weird stumble after driving 1/2 mile in the morning.
I just bought another coupe this weekend and it has an odd problem I have never run into before. When the car hasn't been driven for a few hours it will start perfect, but after driving 1/2 a mile the car will just want to die. The rpms will occasionally fall to around 500rpm but it doesn't die. What could it be? I don't think its the csv because it starts fine and I don't think its the ISV cause it idles perfect. Maybe a lack of fuel pressure?
Heres a pic from the auction I bought it at...

Re: good luck
thats almost exactly what it does. After 10 seconds of stumbling it goes back to normal. Maybe I'll just have to live with it...I hope not though. I think I'll do a tune up on it and see what happens.

Re: Which auction? I need a replacement car.
the auction is in Langley on the bypass, although I would be willing to bet you would have more luck finding an audi in the buy and sell. You going to the next audi meet? its this weekend right?

Re: Weird stumble after driving 1/2 mile in the morning.
Things that have caused stumbling on my car:
Fuel pump relay with super fine cracks in the solder joints inside of it (that I caused from yanking it out repeatedly, DOH!) that would start making the car stumble after it (the relay) had warmed up (say in like... 10 minutes after driving)
I believe a vac leak I just fixed... sometimes car would be ok, sometimes after say... 10 minutes it would stumble but not die. If I'm right (time will tell) the metal pipe that goes from the crankcase vent up in to the vent hose on the top of the valve cover wasn't pushed in to the hose all the way, creating a leak when the car warmed up... since I've forced the pipe further in to the hose, I've had no problem.
