Well the cool thing is 87 4000cs' came with the York 210.... This is probably the best compressor for an OBA or on board air system for your Jeep. I am planning on making some brackets and using it in my XJ to fill tires and run tools. I went on a run with someone that has it and it truly is the best way to go.
So I started thinking..... all the brackets are there for the Audi.... why not make an OBA out of the extra York I have for the 4K..... I just don't know if saving the weight or having the air is better.... what say you guy's????

Filled up 4 35" tires from 8PSI to 32PSI in about 7 mins..... In Jeep time that is fast. The dudes running the electric set-ups (me) take at least 15-20 mins to do the same if not longer. The 210 has been used in the off road community for years in this application. Run it to a 5 gallon tank and it will run air lockers, tools, etc. It works at about 120PSI max.
Here is another good write-up:<ul><li><a href="http://www.webejeepin.com/Glenns_Jeep/onboard-air1.htm">More OBA</a></li></ul>
